We take your health seriously.
Here is some information to help you make smart choices in maintaining your breast health.
We want to help you minimize the confusion recently created about screening mammogram age and frequency by some media attention and a national task force.
The American Cancer Society still recommends annual screening mammograms for women starting at age 40. They provide additional guidance for younger women with a high risk of acquiring breast cancer. For more information, contact your healthcare provider or visit our Women’s Suite on this website.
Are you at an Increased Risk for Breast Cancer?
Take Right Action for Women's assessment to determine your risk. This survey takes less than 5 minutes and helps you better understand your personal risk.
On the RightActionForWomen website you will learn about basic breast health screenings as well as about screening options for mammograms and Breast MRI for younger women with high risk of acquiring breast cancer. A Breast MRI may be a very important diagnostic tool in your personal breast health journey.
Visit Services to learn more about Breast MRI.
Turn your annual screening mammogram into a pleasant outing for you and your friends. Consider booking a Mammo Party at one HCA’s Outpatient Imaging Centers. It’s easy to do; gather six or more of your friends, family or co-workers who are due (or past due!) for their screening mammogram and commit to an evening together. We will do the rest to provide quality mammography services in a pleasant, private atmosphere with some refreshments and music. If you are interested in scheduling a “Mammo Party” for you and your friends, give Rita Baldwin a call at (804) 627-3608.
